Default Removing window tinting?

When i bought my car it came with a slight mirror tint that i'm not to fond of and have found better things to spend my money on rather than changing it, is there anything out there that i can use to take it off myself without having the glue still stuck to my window or will a little heat and some rubbing alcohol do the trick?

Soak it with amonia for a while then peel it. Scrap the glue off with a razor and more amonia. Use a brillo pad on the parts with defroster lines so you don't scrap them off with the razor. I have done a couple cars that way with good success. If the tint is old prepare to spend some time on it.

get a spray bottle, and put water and soap in it.. and scrape away
i did it on my car, works great. fast too.
you can also do the plastic bag meathod, but its best to do it in the summer, because of the hot sun.

this is the process i follow when i remove tint, position the tinted window in direct sunlight. take some black large trash bags and cut them so the stretch out, then use a 409 window cleaner WITH AMONIA (amonia neutralizes the glue used to set the tint)to soak the removal area. place the black trash bags over the area with the wet 409, making sure that the trash bag seals or sticks to the window. once the tint begins to bubble,( approx, 35-45 min) then remove the trash bags and begin peeling, depending on the degree of tint you may have a few layers. reposition the vehile in sun and repeat process.
after the first few windows are removed there may be some glue left, just use the same 409 and a scrub pad and gently remove it, or use a citrus based goo remover. good luck. hope this helps.

Just make sure you dont scrap the back window to hard it will ruin the wires for the back defroster. I did that with my last hatch.

Just wondering, but is there a way to fix that other than getting a new window?
