Tips on removing window tint?
Im almost done removing all of the tint when i hit the hardest part. The DAMN back window about 4 defroster lines from being done and i can't get anything to get in there to scrape off the tint. all the rest is, off does anyone have any ideas?
A putty knife might fit in there, i think thats what its called? use a hairdyer too i think.... if that doesnt work take out the back window
whatever you do..be careful around the window defroster...that can get messed up if you cut it and is hella expensive if you want to replace. I would wait for a warm day to try it...for easier removal.
This may sound wierd but try this method. Get some Nail polish remover (yes women use this) Use a dry cloth and put some remover on it. Wipe your window with it and the tint will come off.
Good luck

welll when i removed my tint the tint guy told me how to do it. you need to take a black trash bag and cut it to fit your windows. then once they are cut you spray a tint remover solution on the tint and stick the bags to the inside of the window. you basically are sandwiching the solution between the window (on the tinted side) and the trash bag.
then you park the car in the sunlight (preferably a hot day) and leave it for a few hours. if done correctly the tint will peel off when you pull the trash bags off. if there is any remaining it is very easy to peel at this point. just work fast because if the glue resets it will be just as hard as before. if you have already removed most of the tint you can still use this method on the area that is remaining.
also as far as the tint remover solution, they sell it at walmart. i believe its something like rubbing alcohol or ammonia and water. what i did was read the ingredients on the pre made solution and then just bought the ingeredients and mixed it myself. it was much cheaper.

So how do u exactly put the black garbage bag on ...? So Do I spary the window with tint remover, tap the garbage bag to the rear window and leave it in the sun for like 2-3 hrs then it should come off? Is this right?
use windex, on the inside of the window. have someone constantly spray water on the outside of the window. since water is polar it should make it easier to peel off.
watch out for the defroster wires.
