When I was taking off my valve cover one of the bolts' head was broken and spinning freely. It looked like I could just yank off the valve cover, so I tried to just break the bolt. instead I broke a cam cap.



I circled the one I need to replace. If anyone in sd has an junked gsr head ill buy that cap off you. THanks.

 

no and people are going to charge you out the *** for the cap.

 

you might contact dart heads or pro topline they have them for their new heads that are out and they are just like stock. i dont know if they will sell them seperatly.

 

if anyone has a junked or busted up gsr head, pleease sell me that cap.

even though you get another one...you should take your head to a machine shop to get the cam journals align honed...thats why they dont sell that cam cap separetely...because every head is aligne honed to the original cam caps. good luck

 

I talked to proline at the PRI show.They didn't know there was a need for caps.They said there caps would bolt on to the stock head.,and they would be glad to sell them separate.Like was said before you will need to aline bore/hone any non-original caps.

 

Does anyone know the price for the cap and the align/hone?
