Can someone give me a run down of what Uberdata is and how it works?
I was recently informed of Uberdata by a friend of mine who had just recently heard of it himself. He said it was similar to Hondata but thats really all he knew, just basicly repeated what he had heard about it.
Im looking to find out as much about this as possible, everything from exactly how it works, where t get it, how to install it to who in So'Cal can tune it/with it???
Thanks

Uberdata is, in short, a piece of software that enables you to modify your Honda ECU's code using a Windows-based program. Does this mean your Mom's Accord can use Uberdata? Probably not. You'll have to check the list of supported ECUs to see if Uberdata can be useful to you.</TD></TR></TABLE>

Once you've read the FAQ, there's an UberData thread right below this thread in the list... ask away.

Its a rom editing program. You socket your ecu and burn the wanted values to a chip then install it into your ecu. You will have a hard time finding any one that wants to tune it, seeing how its a DIY type thing, you should do what the rest of us are doing and tune it your self. If you do this you will gain a large understanding about the ecu and how it works and controls engine parameters. In the end I think that what I learned from this is great. Its awesome that this type of stuff is out there. Allso you need to erase from your head that its free, its not. The software is free, but you will need a burner and obviously a computer, and a wideband o2 sensor to tune it correctly. As with any engine management, you can do harmfull damage to your engine if your not sure of what you are doing. Be carefull, dont get greedy and have fun. Its all about learning, and this type of DIY stuff will ensure that you learn.
IM me if you have any specific questions that you cant find in a search.
