Default Fog Light Switch on 91 integra???? shut's off when high beams are on.

Every time I turn the high beams on, the fog ligts turn off. How does one fix this so the fogs and high beams are on at the same time.
90-93 integra lights aren't great to start with.

you don't that the way it was designed. do you drive around with your high beams on all the time?

and yes a g2 integra is a very nice car to start out with.

http://www.g2ic.com is your friend, in the tips section they might hjave a tutorial on how to wire them differently.

the point to fog lights is to keep the light closer to the ground during heavy fog (because the fog isnt usually near the ground)

The use of High beams in fog actually makes visibility worse, because it REFLECTS off the fog BACK to you, thus making it more difficult to see any distance.

Use LOW beams for fog, and fog lights.

thats the way the car is designed, you can wire it so it takes some power from the defroster and keeps them on... go to the 2nd generation integra site... there's a write up on it.

And not that anyone probably cares but it is also illegal in some states to have your highbeams and driving(fog) lights on at the same time. That is why the car companies wire it that way.

ha Ha Ha
take it easy boyz
I only want the option to have them on, when ever i want them. As for the lights their weak to start with. when you drive 100 miles a day through county roads with dear moose and what ever, more light is nice. i'm sure i don't have to explain this. it could be a life and death sistuation for me. As for oncoimg trafic i always shut the brights off.

check out my posts in G2. I hated the G2 lights too and now finally am satisified with JDM one piece headlights with some real HIDS. everything else is obsolete. the setup i had before this was jdm one piece headlights with very good polarg h4h bulbs powered by the Catz Zeta system, which was good. But i sold that setup and paid another 40 dollars and got me a HID kit for 200 bucks =p and the difference is amazing.

That sounds like a great idea. I'm a photojounalist and more often then not, I'm out on the job at 3am. If I can spend only a few hundred on a good decent set of lights, I might actually be able to see at night. Love the car but the stock lights are dangerous.

the jdm one piece headlight is superior to the usdm headlight. A great upgrade in my opinion. night and day difference.

cause people think you have your highs on. esp since the usdm foglight is a reg halogen. the jdm fog is yellow.

Why not just get a pair of Sylvania Silverstars and see how they look before you spend 4 hours pulling your hair out with re wiring?

U can't.. I never use my high beams anyway. People always think they are my highbeams and flash lights at me.
