my 2000 base has stock foglights, i was wondering if there was a way so they could turn on with my parking lights also instead of just my normal driving lights and/or a way for them to stay on when i put the high beams on?

i know theres a way to modify this on corollas but i know nothing of this for my prelude.

locate the fog light relay. there is a wire that goes into it that gets power when the headlights are on. find that wire and switch it with a source that turns on with your parking lights.

 

wouldnt this cancel out my factory fog light switch though?

 

hadn't had the time to this but now i got the time, i can live with having to turn on and off the foglights everytime instead of them turning out automatically but question is:
Where/How/What do i need to do?


From what i understang from what Oranginal wrote is i could maybe use the dimmer switch to power the foglight switch but I dont know if that would turn out quite well. Any suggestions are taken.

 

Its easy if you have wiring skills

12v from switched illimination power -> 12v switch input
12v switched output -> 12v Fog light relay input
12v Fog light relay output -> 12v Foglights

On usdm 5th gen preludes there is a 12v illumination output on the fusebox, I think it is labeled 2 but not 100% sure.
