Hey everyone. I am thinking about buyin one of these because I read around that it's an all in one unit. Is it true that it doesn't require the "brain" part? I remember seeing somewhere that the AVH-P6400CD has the brain built in along with the cd player and lcd. Can anybody tell me if this is true for anybody that played with one? Thanks in advance!

 

yes the 6400cd is self contained u have the inputs to plug a dvd or video game however tv tuner is extra

 

Right now I have nothing. Could I just buy the AVH-P6400CD and plug and play? Use it like a normal cd player? Or would I have to buy a headunit first like...for example the 850MP and control the AVH-P6400CD with that? Thanks again!

 

the 6400cd is plug & play you would just have the cdplayer and the radio but it has external inputs for video game or anything else
