Default Anybody have an idea??

i went to eat dinner with a friend and my brother. After dinner we drove back home. I parked the car and went to my brothers house for about an hour. Got ready to go home. Started the car and it idled fine for about 30secs. All of a sudden the idle got rough and the CEL came on. I shut off the car and thought it was nothing so I tried to resett the ecu and it didnt do anything. Basically when I give it gas, the car shoots out white smoke and it stinks like pure gas. The car also sounds like a truck when idling and when I give it throttle. I didnt want to take the 30 min drive home in my car so I left it there and borrowed my brothers car back home. Tomorrow early morning I'm going to drive back and call a tow truck and tow it back to a shop but before I do, does anyone know what to look for as far as fixing the problem? Does anyone know what it may possibly be? I hope its something small. TiA!

you dont need any tools...have your brother go out there with the key, rip up the passenger carpet a bit and count the flashes...that would make it a lot easier i think...unless your brother doesnt have your key...

had the car towed to the shop i used to work at. They took a look at it and number 3 cylinder was dropping way too much fuel. Stuck open injector is what they came up with. Hopefully the injectors they order yesterday will be there by saturday.

sounds like a blown gasket, allowing you to burn anti freeze.

no I know for a fact its not a blown headgasket. Like I said before, the exhaust fumes(smoke) smelled like fresh gas. Took the spark plugs out when I got to the shop and #3 cylinder was soaked with fuel. Just need to get new injectors by saturday.....

just a side note..headgaskets dont go while ur car is sitting in ur brothers driveway..or any driveway for that matter ..

I hope the injectors fix your problem man, good luck with it.
