Yes, i believe it does. My buddy has one on his Prelude and it sounds good. I'm seriously leaning towards getting rid of my Tanabe SRM and buying a WS.

yeah.. actually i had it one at first and then i took it off my car.. becuase the flange rubbed off the tar that is covering the gas tank. so i'm gonna try something new like bending the rear section b-pipe and see if that will fix the problem. at first i used some exhaust rubber hanger to put in between the pipe and the gas tank.. but that only lasted so long before it started degrade and melt.

as soon as weather gets better here in cali.. i'll post up some pics after i try to reinstall it. hopefully it will provide solution for everyone else that had that problem.

i've call apexi many times about this problem.. and they said it's due to my installation fault. yet many other of my friends had the same problems. if this is not fixed.. it could lead to a ruptured hole in ur gas tank. i think someone should really get on apexi's ***** about it.. cuz my friends and i did that.. and no effect yet. thinking about going to BBB.

My WS has 3 sections. The section after the cat, the mid section, and the axleback section. I flipped the mid section around and it eliminated the rubbing.

Glad to hear that you like your WS - I considered that and the Thermal Classic - ultimately decided to go with the Thermal because of its' slightly deeper tone..

So I guess the rubbing is from an install error. Makes sense to just flip that section around

its a design flaw on the exhaust that it rubs the gas tank. **** APEXI. they cheap out by making the exhaust span 2 generations (93-98 coupes) rubbed on my 5th gen EX, sold that POS and bought a RSR Exhaust, much better quality and still had a great sound...and it ACTUALLY FIT!

I think that Apexi sounds great.....but they are not made to specifications for each vehicle thus causing the exhaust to be modified or cut and welded on.

I think I might go skunk2......we'll see

Good choice though.....does have a very good sound

yes, likewise all WS for the coupe has 3 sections. however the midsection, if i were to flip it around... it would not connect to the b-pipe from the cat. unless if you had totally flipped that section as well. there are two hangers on the b-pipe from the cat. how did you hang yours?

if you lay the pipe down... there should be 2 hangers, from the top down view.. it should look something like this / \ or like this \ / . so can you tell which way does your hanger look like when you hanged it to the existing hanger on the car??

i believe this is the important part, because depending on how you hang it.. will determine how u can install the mid-section pipe.

yes i've heard of the same thing... i think apexi just used the same design from 5th gen and just applied it to 6th gen. i've heard of the same problems with the RS-R EXMag on the 6th gen coupes as well.

On my 94 hatch the b-pipe has hangers installed. The "s" shaped section that routes around the gas tank is what I rotated 180 degrees.

I see what you are saying now. I'll take a look under my hatch when I get home this evening. Send me an email at dwnthehatch@yahoo.com and I'll respond with some pics.
