Default Am I overreacting to this shop???

Almost 2 months ago I hit a deer, and my car still is not fixed. This is mostly due to all of the aftermarket parts on my car. So I went to get another Carbon Fiber Hood at this shop, they didn't sell Fiber Images and that is what I wanted, so they set up an acount with them. They then tell me that I needed to pay for the hood in full before they ordered it, which I refused. So to make a long story short, the hood comes in and is damged, I refuse the hood obviously becasue of the defects, and the shop is pissed at me?? They tell me I owe them money for the hood, I just laughed and told them I was not paying for that piece of ****. So they are not going to order me another hood untill they figure out how they can get the money back for the hood. Should I just take my business elsewhere? I am thinking about going elsewhere as soon as my CTR headlights come in.

most definetly..take ur bussiness elsewhere. I'd rather pay more for a mint condition hood somewhere else than a half @ss..piece of crappie hood that you are going to be riding on for some time. Image is all that people look at when they see a sweet @ss ride. You dont want to go thru all that hassle answering their questions about your hood.

I would definetly go somewhere else. If they actually expect you to pay for a damaged hood, then their just idiots. This doesn't sound like a shop you'd want to do business with. They don't have any home address information or anything like that for you do they?

No no home address, they are a bunch of hicks anyway, I just ordered the hood casue it is right across from my body shop and thought they could get the hood easier with less hassle than from anywhere else. They may know where I live cause everyone around here knows my car? I am not worried about that though because the shop is not shady like that at all. I am just pissed about the fact that the hood is messed up. I just want another one and want the Fiber Images over the VIS. Other than them getting a little angry at the fact that I did not want to pay upfront for the hood, and now that I refused it, they are a pretty decent shop and give me deals. CTR headlights are coming in this week from them

Nah I actually know for a fact they ordered it from FI becasue I was there and saw the paperwork. The hood looks great other than a few scratches, chips, and some other imperfections. Overall I really like Fiber Images. Hopefully they get on the ball and send it back to them and get me another damn hood

Why doesn't the shop return the hood to fiber images? Doesn't fiber images ensure the quality of their products? You would think if they were a brand new account fiber images would help them out so that they would become a more frequent buyer.

Go somewhere else. if they are trying to make you pay upfront for c/f hood. Then i personally dont think they should be running a business. Your insurance company is paying them to handle all the work and getting parts in not you. Seriously go somewhere else.

They probably wanted you to pay up front for the hood because they didn't have the capital to move it themselves. That's understandable if they're a smaller shop...

Take your business elsewhere. WTF kind of business are they trying to run? All they need to do is claim insurance, and they would get their money back. But it seems like their lazy asses don't want to go through that hassle. Shady businesses =

Their obviously not that smart. They receive damaged product and still expect you to pay for it?.....hahahahahaha. What idiots.

I stopped at a shop to have my AEM fuel system installed. While waiting, a truck was dropping off a VIS kit. The shop made the driver sit and wait until a full inspection was performed, to make sure the fiberglass has no damage. That's service in my mind. If I ever get a kit, I'd go back to them.
