Default extending o2 sensor wires, plug and play kits or solder extra wire on?

Kind of a dumb question I guess, but I need to extend my 2ndary o2 sensor wires. I may eventually need to extend the primary one too if I get a hytech header...

I think I remember someone saying they had to extend their o2 sensor wires by 18" and 12" respectively with the hytech header and exhaust setup!

Now I'm all ready to start splicing and soldering, but then my buddy comes along and says I should consider just buying the o2 extender kits with plugs on both ends. He says they come in 6" lengths and are plug n' play...

How true is this? That might be nice if I can just plug in extensions... or if I could just buy the male and female plug pieces and fabricate my own extensions...

Anyone know how to do this? Where to get the pieces at?

Thanks!

I have one of the extension you are talking about. I think bought it at a local import parts store. Its is about 6" in long and plugged right in. I would try the local Murrays/pepboyz/autozone.

I guess I'll take a trip down to the auto parts store tonight...

And then get comfy up under the car again too...

So what did those guys who extended theirs by 18" do? Buy 3 of these extensions? Or maybe they come in different lengths...

no luck in searching autozone and pep boys...

Anyplace online I can order from? Even if it's just the connectors, I can wire them up myself...
