Default JG Manifold on a B16A2, some install questions

Hey Guys,

We were doing this install today and had some questions:

1. Because its a 99-00 Si, B16A2, OBD2 the Air Intake Temp Sensor is usually located in the piping/charge pipe. With the JG there is a fitting for a GSR AIT sensor which I will pick up soon. My question is .... Is it plug and play or are there some splicing of wires that must be done?

Here's a pic

Stock AIT

2. Also, there are no fittings for the EVAP Purge Control Solenoid Valve (See pic). On the stock fuel rail this bolted up right on top of it. On the STR Rail theres no holes - I already tried the ones on the end and they weren't the correct size (see Pic)

Helms Pic (so you have an idea)

Thanks in advace, other Random Shots.

Don't bother. Block it off, use your stock si AITS, it's what I use

Question, why did you get the JG IM for a B16? It's too large for even an ITR w/12.5:1 compression.....unless your going FI.

yeah turbo SC61, Endyn Rollerwaves, Crower rods, blah blah ...

I already ordered the GSR AIT sensor, Im going to play around with it. I think I have to cut and splice.

On A side note, I still don't know where to mount that damm EVAP sensor, any ideas?

Yea, then cut and splice...leave enough wire to account for 'errors'

Can't help you with the EVAP, as I don't own/have either of those parts, good luck

is this IM suitable for an NA Vtec? 12.5:1 compression. If not, i will buy the JG Engine Dynamics IM.
anyone here did try it?

What da F*ck? He is talking about the JG IM(now known as Edelbrock Victor X), and no it is not good for NA power, better off with the AEBS, Skunk2, ITR, than the JG.

why there's a people outhere telling me thats JG Edelbrock IM is good for 12.5:1 and above. But drop the power if compression less than that.
But JG Engine Dynamics IM is suitable for NA

Please correct me if i'm wrong

I'm still new in Vtec modifications, ok

I dynoed a high compression big bore motor with an ITR intake manifold and 70mm throttle body. Made 259 on a Dynapack. Then I bolted up the JG Victor X and a 74mm throttle body and went back to the same dyno. The JG picked up about 1-2 hp peak, and the hp peak was about 500 rpm higher, but below 8,000 rpm the ITR IM beat the JG by a good 3-4 whp and 2-3 ft-lbs. of torque almost everywhere.
I am going back to the ITR IM. As far as the EVAP system goes, who needs EVAP? J/K-I did not use the EVAP system on the car, it's mostly a track car now-so I can't help you there, sorry .
