anyone know how to remove the steering column???
ok, so i'm doing a manual conversion, and i'm going to go ahead and put the pedals in.... i got the clutch pedal in, but i've spent like 2 days trying to pry the gas/break pedal out. i can ALMOST get it out, but it's in there so good, i just get too frustrated... i've heard that you can drop the steering column, and they slide right out, only thing is... i've got no idea how to drop the steering column.... any help??
2 12mm nuts up top, 2 12mm bolts near the middle, then theres a 10mm where the spline goes in near the firewall. drops right out. oh yea dont forget to unplug all the wires.
ummm youll see harnesses running up the column. for the blinkers/turn signals, another for the horn and ignition (ignition pluigs may be on the fuse box i forgot), and the airbag. once u get under there youll see.
how long should this take me?? is there anything i should watch out for or anything i can **** up?? do i have to remove the steering wheel??
