Default Does the ECU compensate for advanced timing over time?

I remember seeing a response somewhere that said someone has seen or heard of a Prelud ECU resetting itself over time to "compensate" for the advanced timing.

Has anybody tested/verified this?

No, I haven't tested it, and I can't even speak for a Prelude. But as far as I know, any "compensation" that an ECU makes is temporary. For instance, it will retard timing momentarily if it senses knocking.

It is actually the ecu correcting for any modification. And it still hasn't been verified.
