Default JDM GSR pistons????????

I heard these are the same as USDM Type R pistons. Anyone know?

Also where and what kind of rings would i get for this piston?

not the exact same, and any oem rings for whatever bore it is (standard/overbore) should work

i dont think its physically the same...but it does have the same comp ratio
gsr head gives more comp than the b16/itr head

They spec it at 10.6:1...same as USDM ITR, but they get there two different ways.

the piston dome cc's are different... the USDM ITR's are a bit higher than JDM GSR's due to the fact that ITR heads have larger combustion dome volume than GSR heads... also another difference is that ITR's are coated and GSR's are not, makes it more "slippery" and resistant to heat, more friendly for higher revving...

In a GSR the USDM ITR pistons will give you 10.8:1 and the JDM GSR will give you 10.6:1

Slippery because the moly coating retains oil. Doesnt do anything for heat resistance though.
