Take out the driver seat and lay on your back. Took me about an hour to swap the pedal assembly. It was my first time doing it and hopefully it will be my last.

Cool thanks, everyone for the help.
So, it IS possible to do without removing the dash and steering column? If you're short, (like I AM). And you remove the seat.?

its a pain, and you really shoudl drop teh steering column, and pull out the large palstic air tubes, the block a bolt. THeres 7 bolts to undo, and it helps to pull the master cylinder and booster towards teh fron tof te car when it comes loose to pull it out.

hahha.. a dwarf..
but, the thing to me, that really stands out.. that clevis pin, and cotter was a major bitch on the brake pedal, for the rod on the vaccum assist... and yeah, the car i took them out of rolled, so i realy fucked it up getting it out.. i poped out the MC, and pulled that out, and then kept going.. i think took me somewhere around 10 mins.. but i was fortunate enough to work on one without a dash.. but i looked at mine, it could be done.
