Default wastegate plumbing question

i have a tial 35mm wg on a 98 prelude with an fmax kit...i've had the setup for about 2+ years now and the rubber vacuum hosing has cracked prolly from the heat, etc. I'm in the process of replacing the hosing with 6mm silicon hosing which was recommended. I know the top outlet on the wg is for the boost controller and the side outlet goes to the turbo pressure outlet. I know some people have that side outlet running all the way to the intake manifold...my question is...is there any advantage to running the hose to the manifold as opposed to the turbo?

I have a 6.5psi spring...to my understanding if i don't have a boost controller i will only boost up to 6.5psi..correct?

thx...

I have ran the same setup both ways, and noticed no difference.

Actually its the oppisate. You cant boost any lower than what your spring is. If you want to boost higher you need a boost controler or a stiffer spring.

Umm... I read that agian and I think I misuderstood him. I think he had the right idea. FYI: You can boost any lower than your spring in your wasegate.
