Default using p28 (intake runners??)

I am going to use a p28 with hondata for the h23 vtec and I dont care if the intake runners run open all the time and no knock sensor is cool.

The question is even with the p28 will I still be able to just pull the vaccum line and open them or wil the ecu have to have capabilities fo rme to open them. I other words do they need electrical and mechanical inputs to open them. If so I may have a delema.

Thanks as always guys

To get this confusing question straight, let me ask you one - or two. Do you think that OPEN butterfly's are better for top end or mid range? Which one are you looking for? Which might explain what you're actually trying to ask. (How do I keep them Shut/open)? Is this what you are trying to ask? -- I've done this, I have a P-28, so maybe I can help?

You can use the auxilliary output on your hondata to control the intake butterflies.

please explain. Is this something that you hardwire to the Blue box? I was under the impression that you needed an ecu that had the extra wire for the butterflys. Like the typ-r . the only way to be able to use it is to cancel out another option, like ac, and use that wire for the butterflys?

I just wanted to know if I was using the p28 I could just disconnect the vaccum line and run the runners open all the time.

There is an auxilliary output on the "s" series hondata units for activating accessories at a programmed rpm, such as a nitrous solenoid or the intake butterflies. This way you can run a p28 ecu with hondata and still control your intake butterflies.
