Default switching from turbo to supercharger?

I am building a fully built CRVtec motor...
I am basically done with the bottom end, it just has to be sleeved and o-ringed and then the bottom end will be put together. I'm also in the process of building my head... I'm looking around for ITR springs and retainers if anyone has them, and GSR cams, and then my B16 head with ITR lifter and a 3 angle valve job will e done.

I am also in the process of going turbocharged... I have a brand new T304E hybrid turbo, my wastegate and manifold... I still need my BOV, intercooler and piping. I've put in the money to run huge boost, I want a 10 second street car and will do what it takes to get it.

However, I'm starting to run low on funds, and with time running out, I was thinking of switching to supercharged. I wanted to get your opinions on this, and see what you think. Nothing on the motor is going to change, my question is can a supercharged powerplant be as quick as a turbocharged powerplant? oh, and btw, my motor was being built with a 25 psi boost goal, so dont worry about compression issues or anything like that. What kind of boost can a jackson racing supercharger put out?
thanks for the help, I hope I was clear with what I was asking.
-Mike

No, a jrsc will not get you in the 10s without a lot of juice to back it up. Put off the project a little longer, and get a turbo. And I pmd you about those parts you need.

Have you looked at the price of a SC? you wont save much to make changing your plans worth it.

Dont do it. Just save just a lil' more to get a good turbo kit! Because a Supercharger aint going to cut it!

I don't think you would be happy with a supercharger.

That is Nick's dyno chart comparing when his car was supercharger and then turboed. I think that chart speaks for itselfs.

Turbo all the way

JRCS is good if your happy with low 13's/ high 12's--they become very costly to make power after that though. I love the throttle response and torque w/o waiting for spool up.

ya, I did a little more reading myself, and a supercharger aint going to put me where I want to be. like I said, I already have my turbo and manifold... I try to stay away from most of those greddy/drag bolt on kits...
thanks guys for the help.

i had a ls-vtec supercharged with directport nitrous.(still have the pics of the setup)
there is a good side and a bad side to the supercharger
power is rite there and its quit. all u hear is the supercharger wind
the bad side is even with the blower upgrade u can t go over 14psi.

but how ever i saw a guy from la area run a gsr supercharge with three stage nitrous in a eg hatch run 10.9s(he said eric s racing tune his setup)
