Default therd locker on fly wheel

what kinda therd locker should i use on my flywheel.
thanks any info is greatly welcomed

im probably going to use red loctite, but i have seen many debates on whether blue or red is better. personally i say red just too be safe

yeah i didn't lock tite mine when i did my clutch , luckly i have had no incident, but im pulling the motor we speak, and i will remember to do that when i put the flywheel back on on me.

but is it absolutly nessasary?

I don't think it's really necessary anywhere, but there are some places I'm gonna use it, just to be safe.

I was gonna use it on my rod bolts, but a buddy told me not to bother.

thread locker on the flywheel bolts is usually not a good idea, as long as they are torqued properly you will be fine.

the flywheel bolts are pretty flimsy being 12 pt. heads and are notorious for stripping.

i've never had problems with mine. and i use the red thread locker on them.

red loc-tite is what i've used on all the clutch jobs that i've done and no probs. (knock on wood) you can also use the blue loc-tite too if you're scuuurrred

I would use it just to keep the chances of vibration from breaking things loose.
