Default Code 74 misfire in 4 cyl

At random yesterday before leaving for work I started my car and it noticeably sounded different, so shut it down and restart still the same. I got the check engine light and pulled the code got 74 "random misfire"
-History of what I was doing with the car days prior to "random act of God"
--Went on a 300 round trip with a 1000' change in elevation no problem (I have VAFC elevation change might be relivent) no problems on trip.
--Went through 4 gears i.e. red lining (1st,2nd,3rd,4th) night before misfire. Now I DID NOT mis-shift, nor did I shift at 8k rpm I was shifting at 7200 VAFC indicated. I doubt going through the gears is relivent as I've done it at a race track (road racing) and no problems.
I thinking ignition problem.

is it still missing??

what makes you come to the conclusion that there is a problem with the ignition, or maybe even the fuel?? it could very well be a mechanical problem

When you pull out the plug what color is it? (Plug in cylinder 4).... and how does it compare to the color of the other plugs?

Your first step should be check all HT leads and test spark plugs, one may be failing.

Like littlechoppab20 said; check plug colour and test to see if its burned out!

Then start to worry about other possible causes.

It sounds like either a plugs gone or the leads loose.

Well I took the car to Honda (I had another problem I wanted them to look at) Turns out it supposedly was a bad #3 injector. Or so the service advisor said. When I got to the dealership he still said it was the injector so I asked him if I could drive the car. He said yes. So at this point I confused. He also gave me info on my other problem. (timing belt tensioner) Anyways I go to pay and the lady said just sign here uhhhhh no charge? I didn't pay. Then I go to my car expecting a rough idle and engine. I turn on and its running perfectly.
So I have no clue as to how the service advisor says I have a bad injector and then I turn on my car and it runs perfectly and I didn't pay.

I need to get the timing belt tensioner fix. The rattle in the valvetrain is drving me crazy.

A bad injector can cause a car to idle rough and misfire.... If one (injector) starts messing up, the other injectors compensate for the loss of fuel.

So did they replace the injector?

The other injectors cannot compensate for the loss of fuel in cylinder-4 (or whichever) when one its injector is not working, there is only 1 injector per cylinder.
