Default B18C1 in 00 Civic DX what is needed?

I have the motor from a 2001 GSR and I am putting it in my 00 Civic DX hatch. I need to know what I need to do it right.

I am assuming you have the complete GSR swap? Ie: shift linkage, engine, tranny, etc.

You will need a 99-00 Si rear and drivers side upper engine mounts.

Rewire your stock harness using wires from the GSR harness, or get a 99-00 Si harness to make the engine pretty much plug and play except for the IAB's. You could also use a 99-00 Ex harness, but the Si harness will fit the engine better.

As for the ecu, Katman can remove the immobilizer from the stock 2001 ecu, and it will plug into your harness, but you will have a permenant CEL.

I would recommend using an obd1 p72, and OBD2b to OBD1 harness that you can get from http://www.importparts.com.

OBD1 should yield some more hp, and you don't have to worry about the second O2 sensor.

Also, the GSR coolant hoses won't mate up to your stock radiator...the hoses are too big. I switched over to a Koyo Del Sol VTEC dual core radiator for better cooling, and then the hoses match up with the radiator right.

If you want to keep AC you will need a Del Sol VTEC AC mount.

Also, you may have to play around with your throttle cable.....I had problems with both the GSR throttle cable and Cx throttle cable.

One more thing, you will have to get some exhuast work done, the header won't reach the exhaust on your hatch.

Thanks HXMan for the Info I'm also swapping in a 2001 B18c1 in my 2000 dx soon.

So theres absolutley no way I can use the obd2b ecu unless I want a pernament cel? Thats going to be a bitch when I bring my car in for inspection, and in MA we cant use a older obd ecu on our cars So I'm pretty much screwed both ways unless theres another way around it?

How much was the del sol radiator?

What you can do to pass emissions is get a 99-00 Ex ecu.

I have a 2000 Cx with 2000 b18c1. I drove with the ECU a little bit, it seemed kinda boggy, but I think it would pass emissions ok.

Or you can get an OBD2b to OBD2a adaptor, and run a 96-98 GSR ecu. Or 96-98 LS ecu.

I don't emissions will care if you are OBD2b or a, as long as you have an OBD2 ecu.

We have to go thru the same emissions stuff you do here in Wi.

Del Sol Radiator:

You may want to call and make sure it is dual core.

I bought a nice Koyo Race dual core civic rad for my b18c into eg. It only cost me about 300 total.
