ITR del sol swap w/ ITR ECU question
Dont know if this is possible or if this is the correct harness for what i need or if im an itiot....
ploppin a ITR swap into my del SLO, i know how to do all the BS, but i dont want a rechipped p28 running my R engine. I was told by a freind that i get a OBD1 to OBD2 harness. Did he confuse this with the skunk2 harness for the EK swaps???
---He said he had a freind with a 93 hatch with GSR swap running on an ITR ECU with this jumper harness. IS that possible??? what harness and where can i get one!?
===is this it? http://www.boomslang.us/obd2.htm
thanks

BTW its a 97-98 ITR ECU, so no chipped key BS needed to fire this baby up.

no you can get an obd1-obd2 jumper harness. JDM **** sells them too.... then your p73 will plug right in. Question why dont you want reprog. ecu?? Tom has run a p28 in his ITR and he said he liked it.
ITR engine - ITR ECU IMO cant go wrong. Ive had a few reprogrammed p28s running my GSR swaps and i didnt like them one bit. Maybe thats just me tho....
ONe other question, wont the ECU want to read the second o2 sensor??? Will it throw codes and act like a 2$ hooker?

hondata is OBD-1, which he just said he didn't want to run
but i do agree with you, if you can find a good itr program for a p28, it will run just as good if not better than the p73

It's not much harder to use a OBD2 P73 ECU with your car, even easier if it's a JDM P73. You will want to get an OBD1 to OBD2 ECU adapter harness, many people here on H-T sell them. In addition to the appropriate sensors necessary for the ITR swap in your car, you'll also need to wire up the Crank fluctuation sensor and the secondary O2 sensor, that is assuming that you are using a USDM ECU.

Stupid OBd2 BS... I have a p13 with s100 that i have from my h22 plans that i put the ka-bosh on. I guess ill use that instead to avoid any retarded problems for looking for CFS or a 2nd o2. Only problem is, its currently programmed for a h22 7800 redline
and 5000 VTEC
and the nearest hondata stage 4 owner is probably just as far away as the nearesr rotary engine mechanic.

Dont listen to this. Hondata is great, but you must have a hondata programmer w/ hondata software at your local shop to have the car tuned. Otherwise, youll have to drive to whereever that is everytime you want the car tuned.
You will need to pin you header, locate the second o2 sensor there, unless that is if your running a ITR header, it should already be pinned.
