ITR engine swap question

ITR engine swap question
Is there a difference between the 97 ITR and the 98 ITR when swapping into a 92-95 civic hatchback si? I mean are they relatively the same or is one going to be easier than the other because of various extra sensors? Are there any key differences that seperated the two engines between that year? Any feedback would be great.

Re: ITR engine swap question (GQ Cowboy)
I have a 1998 ITR swap in my 1992 hatchback.
1997 and 1998 are the same in terms of swapping into your Civic.
KEEP your engine harness that comes on the ITR motor - it will PLUG directly into your Civic's underhood harness.
THEN get a P28 1992-1995 Civic Si/EX ECU and have kenji here on H-T redo the program on it. This way it ALL just PLUGS right in and you'll have a better-than-stock ECU. With this ECU there is no need to wire up any of the OBDII stuff - the eaxtra O2, crank fluctuation sensor, etc.
IM kenji and see what he will do for you.
BTW: do a search on "B18C5 into Civic" and you should find a few other threads that cover this topic in more detail - good luck. IM me for specific questions on the swap.
