I know its been asked but...
To fit a GREDDY kit onto my 01 GSR what do i need to do? I was planning on using Hondata instead of the blue box anyway, but I read something about needing a custom down pipe. Is it just a down pipe that I'd need or is there other plumbing issues that I may face? Also about the carb exemption, it should still pass off as legit because the carb sticker is on the plumbing somewhere isn't it? I know I'd be better off getting a Drag kit, but I gotta stay Carb legal. And the more JRSC dynos I see, the more a turbo appeals to me. Help a brother out you guys. I need boost in my life
It really depends on what kind of power you are wanting. If you are wanting to stick w/ little boost the keep the blue box and buy a front mount for a little more power. If your stuck on hondata..buy the front mount..get some 550cc injectors and run 12 psi tuned. Im not sure if its carb legal b/c im in SC and cops just dont care about that crap...so i would just call hondata and ask them b/c honestly it just boils down to how much power you are wanting to run....safely

i dont understand why you couldnt use the downpipe you bought w/ the kit?!?! unless you just want bigger(i.e. 3 inch) i mean..bigger helps it spool up and gives more power..but its up to you really! if you find out where you read that please let me know..ill like to see it!
Oh and thanx for the compliment! hope you get it running right!

Actually, you want a slight variation from the downpipe, instead of 3" straight out from the turbo, the increase in pipe diameter actually creates a "pull" of back pressure allowing the exhaust velocity to move a bit more quickly.. Lot of INDY race cars use this method for more power
