Slid down hill and hit parked car....
Ok guys...yes this is my first year driving in the snow with my car so I wasnt sure how'd it react. There was a snow storm and I was going down a hill. My brakes locked up and I slid down a hill, and ended up in a parking lot and clipped the back end of a pick up truck. The truck is fine (of course) but mine on the other hand...I need a new bumper and my front driver fender is bent in
. The body shop said they could save the fender, but I need a new bumper. Now- I need some opinions: is it worth getting this car fixed? I could just get an after market bumper-but I dont want it. I want to do a lip all around. So I guess I have no choice but to get it fixed. One shop quoted $600 another $1300. I was told not to go to the $600 and not to trust them. I didnt make the claim with my insurance b/c there was no damage to the other car so the owner told me not to worry about it. Any ideas, advice, pleezee....THANKS!!
PS I have a 95 teg gsr with 170k, my car is in great shape until this happend.

Also be careful what bumper goes on there.
'OEM equivalent' does not have 'Integra' stamped in it. Bodyshops will use these to save money. You don't want those. Insist on the real deal.

98+ USDM front end. you'll need new headlights and bumper lights as well, but worth it and cheaper than JDM.
If still too expensive, just get a new 94-97 bumper. Try classifieds on this forum as they can be bought for cheap and easy to install. Just have the shop paint it.

Definately do the 98 front conversion. Either that, or if you want to go the extra mile which i would do, it would definately be the JDM conversion... w00t w00t. But thats just my opinion. Its much cheaper anyways to do the 98 front coversion that it is for the JDM one.

Shook the bottle, put some (teaspoon) direcly on scratch, rubbed in with terry towel, let sit for 1 min, rub out. Worked well enough.

next time your brake lock, release brake and try and steer, pump brake instead of locking brakes, you can even work on E-brake gas combo to slide steer. when brake are locked steering inputs are useless.
Wow, lol...$600??? I got my back bumper replaced with an OEM part, painted, and installed for less than $300 at a local ford bodyshop..... Where do you live?
Snow is fun
(look at my icon thing, below my name)....brake = bad. Downshifting is the way to go....maybe e-brake....I try to never use my brakes in the snow if its possiable
