Default vtec controller setting

since the vtec is set so high on the prelude(5th gen), where should one set the vtec controller at....might be a nube question..so plz answer thoroughly, ty... h-t

Most people have good luck @ 4700 to 5000 rpm. I liked mine @ 48000

it should be set on a dyno, specifically when the lower cam lobe power peaks.

Set it up on a dyno....but other people have said that dropping it a bit has flattened out the torque curve a bit.

go to a dyno, run it with no VTEC crossover, then with VTEC on the whole way. Wherever the two torque curves cross there is your optimum point.

Good god.. What type of valve springs do you have to rev past 48000 rpm's..
