Different Milano Red's?
I wish I had some pictures to show you, but maybe someone knows. I own a 95 LS in Milano Red. It is the kind of brighter red (like candy apple red almost). I have a friend that owns a 95 GS-R but what bothers me is his car is also listed as Milano Red, but it is dark. Almost maroon colored. They didn't make Burning Red Pearl or any of the maroon colors until 98 I believe. Did the GS-R's come with a dark red or maybe the US made or Canada made units come dark?
Anyone else notice this same thing before? Bothers me because I'm ordering a ITR front lip painting online and I don't want to get the wrong "color" M.R.

Strange but true, I also hve noticed that DC2 Milano Red's have a pretty bad paint problem. Especially the older ones (94-97) its weird... what happen to all the red DC2's...
Muckman : No oxidation on either car. Both in great condition. His is just way darker. Even the engine bays are different colors.
B16OnTop : Both are 95
B20 Twin Cam DC2 : I don't know too much about a paint problem, but I've just noticed that the 98+ have consistant paint while the 94-97 have some variance in the color.

Milano Red is a fairly bright red. Maybe not the brightest red, but it would never be mistaken for maroon colored or for dark red. There's only one Milano Red, Color Code R-81.
There's no oxidation on my '94 Milano Red GS-R, original owner, been mostly garaged during the day as well as nighttime.
According to Edmunds, Torino Red Pearl Metallic (R-72P) was available in '95; it may have even been available in '94, since it's listed in the '94 Integra service manual. Matador Red Pearl Metallic (R-93) was available in '96. I don't know which Integra models each color was available for. Keep in mind that the colors available for the three-door GS-R were different from the ones for the four-door GS-R.
You can find a sticker with the color code on the driver's side door jamb.
Paint tends to lighten over time, not darken, particularly if the car is kept outdoors. Maybe your friend's car has been repainted.
