Default type R inlet cam

would i be safe using just a type R inlet cam on stock inlet springs ?

Depends on what motor your putting them into and whether you mean ITR or CTR intake cam. The valve springs in a B16 head are do-able with an ITR intake cam, I wouldn't recommend revving past the stock redline. If you're using a GSR head, you'd have slightly better luck...but this entire post is POINTLESS because you didn't give enough info about your application! Gawd...I'm trying hard not to flame...

yes it is safe to use a type r intake cam on the stock gsr valve springs. I'm running the ctr intake cam on my 94 gsr w/ 161xxx miles on it......been using the cam for 2 years..no problem what so ever!
