Okay i was driving tonite for 20 mins then i turned it off and when it turned back on it wouldnt start for like 5 tries..on the 6th try it worked but then the engine light came on after i pumped the gas pedal
and after i drove it for 5 more mins the sensor jumped to the red line and then when i got home i heard a fuzzing sound

the radiator was just changed..what could be wrong? i popped the hood and it smelled like it was really hot

 

Couple things to look into

Fan, is it working ?
Water pump
Clog some where in the coolant system

 

since u say ur raditor was just changed its proably just air pockets.. or not enough coolent. You need to bleed the system out.
My fan's aren't working right now.. i was sitting threw traffic for 15 minutes today my car bearly started to over heat so i doubt its your fans.. in the winter the car bearly uses them.. If your water pump was going out.. you'd be leaking coolent so thats out.. clog in the system.. highly!! doubtful thats more rare then wining the lottery
