5-Lug Crx??
Just curious as to if and how it can be done. I searched and couldnt find anything. Wanted to do this due to wheels and bigger brakes. If not does anyone know what big brake kit there are for a 91 crx. There was a copper colored crx in honda tuning i belive a couple months ago wiht some huge brake but cant remember what they where. any info would be great
you use 90-91 civic ex knuckles up front, 5-lug ITR hubs, calipers, rotors, and you have to either use an ITR wheel bearing and machine the EX knuckle so it fits, or use an EX wheel bearing and machine the ITR hub to fit it. in the rear you need the whole trailing arm assembly from the ITR with hubs, calipers, rotors, etc... if it's going on a cr-x then I think 90-91 CR-X Si e-brake cables will work for you. you might need the ITR cables though just in case.

so basically i just swap all the type r stuff and get a camber kit for the front, or i can use 90-91ex spindles get the trype r hub machined to fit and press the type r hub in. is this correct? if so whats different about the 90-91 ex hubs compared to the 90-91 si hubs? also in the rear i couldnt find a clear example. should i swap the whole setup including the rear shocks since the crx is a u type joint and the type r is a pinch type, or leave the stock lca and just swap the trailing arm/brake assem.?
thanks

you will use your civic upper and lower control arms in the front and back. you can't use the Civic DX/HF/Si/LX etc... knuckle because the ITR caliper will not bolt properly to it. even with the EX caliper you have to use washers and rig it to make it work properly. bryant almost did it on his cr-x, and he had all the parts all ready to go but then changed his mind (like he usually does on modding his cars,
heh...).
heh...).
Trevor thats the hard way. I was doing it all wrong. It all bolts up. Just go back through the links the guy posted above and do a bit of reading. You just need the Integra tie rods and your pretty much good to go. Simple as that.
they make a hub kit... i dont have the site on me im at my parents house but there is a upgrade hub kit that is made for your car... just look around for one.. or a place that sells upgraded hub kits..
