Default CRX Climate controls

Would the climate controls from an 88 Civic wagon, the 5 door hatchback fit an 88 CRX? Thanks.

You would have to do some customizing for it to fit and work, I have never seen Civic climate controls in a CRX though. I think someone has used either prelude or Accord climate controls before...

Here is a guy that used CRX climate controls in his Civic: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=243975

Why would you want to do that?

The CRX has the advantage of electronic cotnrols...just find another control pannel if yours is broken...shouldnt be too hard as those cars are dissintegrating.

Not really....just get a cracked one.

The non cracked ones are expensive as hell...but you should be able to find one with a cracked face for pretty cheap...then you can swap your face onto it.

Why not fix your control box?

It will require a fair bit of modification to get the civic controls in as they are manual and you will need to adapt your crx for taht. It will bolt right in tho.

Dont think you need one for the civic controls...I'm using a CRX dash and metal framing in my civic, fit fine with the civic controls.

He wants to use Civic controls in his CRX cause his might be broken. This guy on HT made a medal bracket so that you can still use your CRX controls...

From someone who has fixed a few cracked CRX control panels, you CANT just replace the face. The face is also the outer housing.
I agree with the other posts though, just buy a cracked one at the J-yard or off ebay and JB weld it. And to use the civic panel you would have to convert the actuators to cables not servos. Maybe try a 2G teg control panel instead.

This CRX has no controls in the car, the car is stripped. Jus looking for an easy fix as I found some Civic controls, but have not been able to find any decent CRX controls.

Ahhh ok, no wonder. On that same post that I can't find, I believe some guy used old school prelude climate controls on his crx. I wish I could find the damn post, I tried every word I could possibly use in the search feature...

If the car is STRIPPEd you're still gonna need the underdash wire harness to make the controls work. Try looking for a 2G teg in the junkyard. The controls are very similar to a CRX's.

Yeah, it allows you to use your broken climate controls.
