94 vs. 97
94 & 95 were OBD1. After that, they were OBD2. Some people might like the older models because you dont have to use an adapter harness to use an OBD1 computer.

Well yes the 94-95 are obd1
Heres my take on it most poeple will say well its better because you dont have to convert to obd1 if your going hondata, or just prefer the obd1
But alot of 94-97 owners end up doing a 98+ conversion which runs in the neighbrohood of $500 for front end parts alone. Reality is your not going to find a obd1 with low miles, so if thats one of your conerns then i would buy a 98+ and then do the ob1 conversion yourself costing you between $250-300 total.
Afterall the obd1 conversion is cheaper than the 98+ front end conversion

I think the OBD-I > OBD-II argument has not been dyno proven. When I see a 00 gsr gain some WHP from doing the swap, I'll go buy a harness.
I do think OBD-I is better because there are more parts available. For example different greddy exhaust, greddy turbo, headers, etc.

Thats the part i agree with. This is why I said dyno though
say I/H/E gives u a 10whp gain on an OBD-II B18c. Some people are saying that I/H/E (same combo) is worth 15 whp on an OBD-I B18c.
Can u see my point?

If you're not going to mod, then the OBD version might not matter much.
The biggest visual differences are slight restyling in the front and rear end, but as mentioned above, that happened in '98, not '97. The most noticeable part of that is that the headlight lenses are angled and more flush with the front nose surrounding it. But you still have to look pretty closely to notice.
The wheel styles differed from year to year, too.
And leather became available at some point, I forget which year. It was optional; in some materials, they designated the leather version as the "GS-RL".
