obd1 ecu's can be chipped and you can use standalone for tuning:
also they have less junk clogging their brain performance wise: you can get obd1 ecu's so much cheaper, if you ever boost or do a swap: obd1 items are cheaper and easier to find: you can get better results then on a obd1 system
its SO MUCH EASIER

You'll need an OBD-1 distributor as well as ecu and harness. Otherwise you won't be able to adjust timing. 96' and up accord's distributors aren't adjustable. The timing is controlled by the obd-2 ecu.

in addition you will need to replace your OBD2 injectors with OBD1 and add a resistor pack.
OBD2 injectors are 290cc saturated high impedance, Vs. OBD1 345cc peak & hold, low impedance injector.

You dont have to change injectors on this conversion.

Really ? Explain.
The ecu is mapped for those injectors. I think performance would be sacrificed.

well, you not using 100% of the injector all the time.
you can tune to a extend without getting bigger injector.
the logic is that you prolly dont need bigger injector if you are running
NA

Re: (iam7head)
So you wont have to switch the injectors over for the OBDII-OBDI swap. Im doing this because im running boost with an Jondata chip and editor. But ill be using DSM 440's instead.
Also, in 96-97 Accord they already have a resistor pack, they dont need one to run those injectors.
