On my 5th gen 4cyl I took a hose that was connected to the resevour (which hose I can't remember) and put the other end in a container. Then I started the car and turned the steering wheel back and forth until nothing came out. Then I refilled the resevour, turned the car on again and turn the steering wheel back and forth to bleed all the air out. I believe that was the way I did it, it's been a little while and I don't have my helms. Anyways, hope this helps.

turning the car on to drain the fluid can be risky though if you leave it on too long the pump can burn up if it has no fluid going through it. Besides powersteering fluid there is no other lubricant in the powersteering pump

Turkey baster. I sucked out old fluid and replaced with new, keeping in mind that there is still old fluid in hoses. I did this twice and everything looks good.

If you have access to a compressor use a Vaculla.
