Default Got a tranny question

Before I put my car away for the winter, I was driving to a friends house when shifting into 3rd gear became stiffer than usual. I did not really pay any attention, so I kept driving. Then all of a sudden I could not get it into 1st, 3rd or 5th gear. I could only go into 2nd, 4th and reverse. It almost seem like the linkage was jammed. Even neutral did not feel like neutral. After driving home in 2nd gear I tried one last time to run the shifter in the gears..... all the gears came back. WTF!!! Anyone else ever have this happen to them. I think it is syncro's or linkage inside the tranny. It has a new clutch and flywheel with less than 6,000 miles on it. This is a 1999 JDM B18c Itr block and tranny. I check the linkage and nothing looks out of the ordinary. What do you think it may be?

wow, then it must be syncros or something like that. maybe it has something to do with your flywheel and clutch?

well bad news.. but yeah I had this happen before I completely threw the tranny out.. it froze on me.. drove decent for a while.. then it froze again and woulnd't come undone.. my best guess is you part of a gear off.. and its running around in there..

He's right. You've likely broken a tooth off one of your gears or the final drive and it's floating around in your tranny getting jammed in between ****.....

Time for a rebuild..... You may want to consider upgrading the final drive, clutch, flywheel, and lsd while you're in there.....
