Can I Still Go Long Driving with a Turbo R?
Are there things a Type-R won't be able to do if it's got a Turbo? To simplify the question, let's assume I'm only running either 6 or 7 pounds of boost

- Pass visual inspection
- Lose to stock Camaro SS
- Stay under factory warranty (unless you know somebody who knows somebody)
I'm sure there are other things I've missed too...
im no expert but i think if you ran a low boost on the long trip like say 5 psi you should be fine but you might want to ask some one with that setup...my only concern would be your engine might get a little too hot so might have to take a break evey few hours,....my bro drove 6 1/2 hours on 4 or 5 psi on a jrsc and he did nt seem to have any problems.

I was so set in going to an NA Spec B setup until I found out that running a turbo with modest boost (7-8psi) isn't a big risk as it seems. Finding a great groupbuy at importparts.com has also gotten me thinking twice. What kind of whp numbers should I expect with a stock boost DRAG turbo kit with adequate tuning and everything else stock (internals, exhuast, etc...)???

if you don't do anything else, atleast upgrade the turbo from ben to a 3" themal for 500$,, without it you will be really choking your turbo at 8psi....
The turbo only boosts when you really mash on the gas, so like TurboR616 said, it is no problem so long as you just cruise. No 140mph for 10 hours crap (not to mention, you'd be stupid to do that anyway).
i would say at 8psi, with drag kit, and themal 3 inch.
250+ is easily within reach, but you will be really be running some high fuel pressures.
