Taillights + dimmer switch out?
I accidentally ripped one of the wires on the dimmer switch. Now my gauge cluster, climate control and taillights are out, and my clock and radio still work fine, but the clock doesnt dim when I turn on the headlights. Would the dimmer being messedup cause the taillights to stop working, or is that a problem with something else
on a lot of cars, the same fuse/connection is used for taillights/interior dash. it's possible that by yanking out the dimmer, you have also severed the connection to the others. get out some wire splicers and some connectors and repair it.
I hooked it back up and replaced a fuse, but now only the tails work and the clock dims, still no lights on the cluster and the climate control. Any ideas why? I tried wiring the 2 red wires and grounding the black but it didnt make the cluster light up or anything.
