Default laggy window

i just noticed today as i was cruising and rolling down both windows that my passenger lags. it's fine for a couple inches, then it slows down and stutters (like it's caught on something), then speeds up again. not a huge issue but it bugs the crap out of me thinking my teg isn't in perfect condition any ideas ?

My driver's side window does the same thing ever since I got it changed. I don't think that the window installer did a great job on it. There are smear marks going down the center of the window from it rubbing against the inside somewhere. When the outside gets wet and I try to roll it down, it gets much worse. Sometimes it won't even roll down...it'll just stop half way making me try over and over again until it finally decides to roll down because it got dry. If I were you, i'd probably inspect the motor, or reinstall the window properly. I'm gonna have someone reinstall mine soon cause I don't wanna mess with it.

hey I had the same problem last winter.
Eventually the window won't go down at all. At first I thought something was wrong with the motor or track but when I brought it to the dealer (it was a year old at the time) they said that this happens all the time and it just needs to be lubed up.

The drivers Window on my GSR does this - really annoying. I tried lubing everything with silicon spray and other lubes too. Made no difference.
If anyone has any ideas, we would sure appreciate it !

I had this problem too! The window would ride fine until about half way down....stutter and slow down...then speed back up. It took me a while to figure out the problem, but I fixed it. It wasn't easy, but it was worth it. Here's how I did it....
When you take off the door panel, you will find on the inner door shell an adjustment bolt. (10mm i think). You can tell it apart from the rest of the mounting bolts by looking at the hole it is sitting in. (they are in oblong adjusting holes) These bolts adjust the position of the main rail that the window rides on. By loosening this bolt and repositioning it, you can successfully fix this problem.
(DISCLAIMER--> I did this about six months ago so I am not sure if there were two adjusting bolts or just one...you'll have to take off the door panel and find out for yourself.) Also, while I was in there, I went ahead and lubed it up good too. The main thing is to look for the adjustments for the rails. I moved mine a little bit and it fixed it immediately.
If this confuses anyone...let me know. I'll take my door panel off and look at it again just to make sure I remember what I did.
peace...

I will give this a try. My alarm rolls up the windows. On the drivers side it stops half way most of the time, since it uses electrical load to tell if the windows are up.
