Default Drivin' in the snow with aftermarket wheels??

Yo.

Does anyone here drive in the winters (snow) with their performance tires/wheels still on?
I have 14" alloys with 195/60/14 yokohama ES100s..

-will that be a pain in the *** to drive with..

or

-will that be bad for my wheels/tires..as in salt and stuff?

thanx.

I would put some stealies on with some winter tires. It may not look good, but either way it wouldnt hurt.

Summer tires do not work well, if at all, in winter weather. Hence being called summer tires over "all season" or "winter". Get a set of dedicated winter or good all seasons on a set of steelies for the winter months.

Note, you can run alloys in winter just fine. Its your tire selection thats hindering you for the wintry months. Other than salt corroding the finish on your wheels, they'll hold up fine.

i usually take off my aftemarket wheels and put on my steelies for winter and get some good snow tires on them. some after market wheels get their finish damaged by all the salt crap on the road. and if you spin out and bump a curb with steelies its no big deal
