JG Edelbrock IM users, FPR clearance issues. Need help
I installed my JG manifold the other day , got the fuel rail on and all . But i am seeing the return line port from the FPR is way too close to the Plenum . I cant get a line safely on it. Someone said to turn the FPR around upside down , but i have an adjustable FPR(AEM) and if its turned around i cant adjust it .
any ideas? SOmeone showed me a part from Jackson Racing becuase i guess they have the same prob, but thats like $45 or so by the time i get it with all the hardware, any other ideas?

I'll ask a friend who has the same setup on his b18 an has no clearance issues
Do you have any pics to diagram the problem?

i do at home , i tried to post them yesterday , but my computer was acting stupid, ill post some later.
here ya go pete, let me know if these dont help. its probably because im using the B&M and not the AEM FPR, the AEM had a kink in the hose...
***Also, note in this pic how I had to modify the throttle cable bracket on the IM. The cable didnt line up perfectly with the TB and it seemed to cause the TB to stick sometimes. I dremmeled the holes on the bracket larger so it was adjustable and seemed to give enough adjustment. A longer throttle cable('92 GSR possibly) might have worked as well.
Gratuitous dirty engine bay pic. had to drive her in the salt and slush today

yea see the B&M is kinda bent at the end. the AEM isnt. idunno if i wanna mess with it and try to bend it.
So the bracket didnt work as is huh . damnit. these parts are too good to be true sometimes.

Itr206, I am glad you did your install before me with this manifold and the AEM fuel pressure regulator
because I have the same setup just not installed and I was thinking everything would just bolt right up with no problems. Keep us posted on how you get it to work.

I did have my AEM FPR and Fuel Rail installed and working with my JG IM...and it was installed straight up and down like normal. The hose wasnt perfect but it worked. Obviously in a turbo set up with lots of boost you wouldnt want that though.
The JG Edelbrock manifold with aftermarket rail and FPR doesn't work too well. The best bet would be to use a Edelbrock fuel rail, they designed it to eliminate the interference fit that most aftermarket rails have, and its a true flow-thru design, since the FPR is at the opposite end of the inlet fitting.
