Default good box for a 15xxx

im planning on ordering a resonant engineering 15" xxx sub soon and im looking for a box for it. re recommend a 2cu ft sealed box for it and i found this here its a 2.25 cu ft box and the displacement of the sub is .21, so its a pretty good fit. should i get it?

Usually, and I am saying usually because I am sure some of them are otherwise, but usually, specs for a box size have the displacement if the sub figured into it. Someone correct me if I am wrong. So, if it were me personally, I would look for, or better yet, build, a 2 cubic foot box.

im not sure if thats how it is or not, but it might be because whenever i calculate the size of a box, i always seem to be off by a little bit. but then again, im new to making my own boxes. any more input?

That box will be fine, assuming the internal volume is accurate. Tell us what you think when you get it.

that seems pretty good for the price, and i kno that when u build ur own box u have to subtract the space the subs take, dunno if they do that when they list the specs on there

if you're just looking for bass, 2.0 cubes after driver displacement will be fine. if u have the space, go for 3.0 cubic feet sealed. you'll be surprise at the low-end of that thing and it's accuracy.

i could probably squeeze 3 cubes in my trunk. if i went with 2.5, how much power should i give the xxx? still 1600 watts? whats a good amp that makes this power for a decent price (600 or less)

2 cubes sealed will need like 2400 watts to hit xmax at 20hz from memory, so it should take 1600 all day. Enjoy.
