blew my motor this week....
build it back up. same potential as a B18c, replace parts with all JDM best fit. best reliability. oh and thats just "my" opinion, for those who plan on flaming my comment.

i had my b17a1 rebuilt and it runs great.. u can probably get a b18c5 for the same price though.. it all depends on what u want to do.
What is dammaged on your engine? u should look for a b20 head.. thats what i wish i had done.

Get a B18c. Try finding parts for a B17... not as abundant as a B18c. Just ask some of the Hybrid guys at JDMHondaparts.com with their Project Blacksheep.
what really happened to your engine
if you blew the block
keep the crank and hunt down a complete b16 and slap your crank with the b16 rods and CTR pistons you will see the difference..
another option is to find a
b18c block with CTR pistons
there are more things to do but pls do your self a favor
do not rebuild that b17a is like building a b16a...
just my 2cents... and from experience I also have a 92gsr...
