I jes chipped my ecu and it redline at 10000rpm. Is it safe to shift at like 9000rpm? What would happen if I do. Cuz i have done it twice and iono if it will blow something.

 

I would never set the rev limiter that high in any of my vehicles just in case I'm not paying attention like I should. But that's just me.

 

unless you engine is really built well 10k is just about as good as no rev limit, somethings going to break...

 

does your car make power up to 10,000 rpm? can your motor handle 10,000 rpm? if so, then yes you can shift at 9,000 rpm if you want.

i drive a motor that is close enough to built
and it makes power up to approx 9800k so i shift around 9500, couple times i think i went pass 12k didnt hurt a damn thing,
but if i were you rechip the chip and set it at 8500 once u known that your head is well built then set it at 9k, your motor have to be producing alot of power if you want 10k rev limiter and strong parts titanium, steel those will do,

if not there goes the bent valves or a hole through the side walls of the block

most likely your allready vary lucky it hasn't blowen

just you asking the question makes me believe that you have no idea what your doing and FOR SURE should not be reving ANY stock motor to 10k. I wouldn't even rev a stock s2k to 10k. It's just stupid anyway because your not going to be making any power

Uhm... ok....

Don't rev that high unless you make power that high and your motor can handle the revs.

 

as what everyone has said already..its not smart to rev past stock the stock rev limit, unless your motor is really built to make that kind of power in that high of rpm......lower the rev limit for your own safety....

 

umm maybe you should read more about golden eagle, and what i got in the head, then you'll maybe figure out why i have power band up to like 9800k i can shift at 10k but it power drops, like around 9800k
