Default Block Guard??? P28???? questions

I have 2 questions

1. I just recieved my ge blockguard today and it doesnt fit. It has extra space on one side but the other is tight. Is it worth triming it down. My dumb *** already has the bottom end assembled with bore and hone. I dont want to have to tap it and have egg-shapped cylinders. What should i do? Is it worth it to try to make it fit?

2. I will have an ls/vtec turbo setup and am wondering what ecu to run. I dont really want to rev that high because of the horror stories and plus i want to have it last and run right. what rpm will the p28 redline at. I think it somewhere around 7200 but not sure. Also is there any way around getting the knock sensor removed. and no i dont have hondata ( i got emanage) to turn it off.

thanks

well if you have a p28 from a dseries like it sounds like you do since you quoted a 7200rpm revlimit, you won't have a ks enabled because those motors don't have ks's to begin with!

thanks for the blockguard info. Thats what im prolly gonna do. But ive heard two things on the p28 ecu. I have heard it revs to 6800 and 7200. Also how much is it to chip a p28? Can it be completley custom to my liking?

take a piece of sand paper and file away at the side thats too tight. it says right on the package that it may need to be machined. it also should be about 1/4" below the deck

If i do that is there still a risk of egg-shaped cylinders. I just assembled the bitch and am not gonna do another bore/hone deal, besides if i have to bore, then my new pistons will be useless. But i am still debating if i should sand it down or not. just seem risky to me.
