are these the ctr style for 96-98 civics? or do you think they are just painted black where the corner part is.. where can i buy some cheap.. knock offs, whatever.. i have black housings but dont like them b/c the corner part is all bling blingy.... i found this pic in a post in archived... hope nobody gets mad i used it... if you do tell me, ill take it down. nice car though

where can i buy ctr style head lights for a 96-98? thanks i went to jdmshit.com and looked, but the ones they had where JDM civic type-r black housing headlights for 165 shipped.... i already have those in my car ( came in it) ... i just hate how the side( corner light) part is real clear... i've thought about taking the stock ones apart and painting them, and the corner section, then selling these.

i noticed some at a HT meet last weekend that where on a silver hatch (99-00) and they were all black, sides too, with an amber reflector plate on the side.... thats the way i want mine to look. but dont want to do the 99-00 front end conversion.

 

ya bret is right CTR headlights are different i don't think the blinker part is painted, when it is painted there is no reflective property to the headlight which honda wouldn't do i don't think.

ok, screw it then i guess i already have the ctr replica's for a 96-98 civic. im going to paint my stock ones and then sell these... or trade for some stuff like ctr front lip, rear lip, ctr grill, abs plastic spoon mirror knock offs.... (all stuff knockoffs..) and maybe an abs plastic ctr rear wing or just abs duck bill. these are all things im looking for, all for 96-98 hatch.... if you have any, and want to trade for my ctr replica head lights.... identical to the ones on JDMShit.com .... let me know..

also i have a SIR front lip on my 96 hatch right now, mint condition... only a few months old. ill let that go as well....brackets and all that hold it to my car right now.

they don't look like CTR's to me... if you look closely you can see an open space near the bottom of the turnsignal part... correct me if I'm wrong, but the CTR's don't have a space at the bottom of the light where the reflector should go...

 

that is Alan's car. I have spoken to him about his headlights before and he told me that he made those himself. But unlike other fakes, his is a smoked housing that still has reflection ulike the flatblack/gunmetal ones

 

i knew they weren't CTR's... I have a set in my garage that I just finished doing with a smoked housing that looks real good... I used tint spray for the whole smoked effect, turned out real good...
