VAFC--throttle postition jumps around--is this normal?
i just installed it 2 days ago and i know its working right cus at no throttle the voltage sits still and at wide open throttle it sits relatively still at 4.5V but in between it jumps all over the place. when i am driving down the street and hold a steady throttle the throttle% is fluctuating rapidly and its not percentages that are even close for example: it can go from 9%-30% at a steady throttle......... anyways my question is: is this normal for people using the vafc? thanks

I had this same problem with a VAFC. Went to a Power FC after trying 3 different VAFC's and soldering each setup. The power FC had no issues while not one VAFC worked. I wish I knew what the problem was. I am using a Hondata now.
yea i soldered in the taps but i used the male/female connectors on the splices..... would it help to cut out the male/female connectors and solder them as well? thanks
VAFC1
edit: i just went outside and tested it again...... while the car is not running it reads steady but when im driving it fluctuates

I have a similar problem on a couple of my customer's cars. When the car is off the throttle reads perfect. When the car is running the throttle is jumping all over the place. I always solder all of my wiring and tape or heat wrap.

maybe it's vibration sensitive?

It shouldn't be doing that. Did you adjust all of the setting after you installed? 4 cylinder? all of that good stuff?
My vafc holds when I am at steady throttle and is very accurate.

For me its a matter of luck I guess. I have installed like 30 of these things already and I have only had a few that fucked up on me, and one of those is my car lol.

damnit this sucks...... i did the throttle self-learn thing and it cleaned up a bit maybe ill try it a few more times and see what happens
relax. it is normal i think. i have installed 3 and each and every one including mine has this problem. when the engine is off, the throttle % is very accurate and steady, but right when you crank the mother on, the % goes all over the place.
when i floor the pedal the % does not even read 100% the only time it reads 100% is when the engine is not running. again i think it is normal and should not hamper anything in anyway...i dont think. if it bothers you, get a hondata.

Well if a car has big injectors like 440's on a turbo car, it will effect the performance on the vehicle substantially.
