i have 140k on my teg, would a turbo be practical, if so how much boost would i be able to have?

 

yeah it will be ok i would think... i say like 7 psi would be fun.

Do some research as well as a compression and leakdown test. Then decide if you want to turbocharge your engine.

I thought my 125k was high. The bottom line is Honda knows what they are doing with engines. Good maintenence is key.

 

have a spare motor if possible, But first you should do a compression test to see what condition the motor is.

 

161,000+ miles......compression is still at 175-180 across the board...The engine has been boosted for approx 5,000 miles..Mainly used for the strip w 70+ runs this season...90% of the runs were 10 psi or higher...Anything over 11 psi got race gas..(no timing control at this point)...I have run as much as 15 psi w/no problems so far...Tuned w/safc/440s/aem fpr/and fjo w/b.....LS gets in my book always....Bone stock and original internals btw...
