Pulled the head off and replaced the head gasket and now the car idles high. Tryed everything and it still is high. Did a search but no help. When i rev the car idle gos to normal and jumps back up to 2000 to 1500 rpm. checked for vacume leaks but nothing. What cold it be?

Sounds like you forgot or put in a vacumm line in wrong. Did you check all the conections to your throttle body/intake manifold? Check your IAC valve.

vac lines....... one is likely off or almost off....... probably as smaller one also, when a big one pops off, your car magically revs itself....... the FPR doesn't know wtf to do

check your connections on the fast idle thermo valve and idle air control valve... they usally will cause a surge when faulty but they do control the idle speed

Where are these located at? No it is not a vacume line cause I dont have any lines running vacume off the intake manifold. All the ports have been by passed. By the way can a injector resistor box cause this by chance?

what do you mean all ports has been bypassed, what exactly is creating vaccum then, the fpr needs a source to opperate, so do the secondaries unless they are removed.

I think we need some more info about your setup

Took the secondaries out and the only ports left are the ones on the throtel body one for the fuel presure regulator and one for the brake booster. Did I add my prelude is in a hatch not in a prelude.

check any of the hoses for slits or cuts. get some carb cleaner and spray it around all the lines, if the idles surges up or down there is a leak some where. Also, make sure that the IAC is hooked up correctly, and that there is no air in the coolant system as the IAC is thermostatcally controlled. Also make sure the idle jet hasn't been messed with and that the stop on the throttle plate has not been cranked up. All these things can cause idle issues

Well the t-body came off a running car and that car was running fine and I have not tuched anything on it. Sprayed carb cleaner all over the place but no funny idleing. The iac is on the front of the manifold correct? As for air in the coolant syatem not sure but I can fix that by opening the niple on the thermostat hoseing and bleeding it out correct?

the fast idle thermo valve is on the bottom side of the throttle body and the idle air control valve is on the front of the intake manifold by the fuel rail

Yes the cams are stock. No engine lights until I unplug sensors and the idle starts to surg. What do I do to get the air out of the coolent?

Coolant pressure would have nothing to do with idle, the car would overheat also.......
