car revd itself
hello everybody
this is the deal:
i started the car this morning and revd it up a bit.
suddenly the car revd itself a few times 1500-2200 what could be the problam?

i just checked haynes manual and it says i dont have a fast idle thermo valve on my engine.

Your best bet is your IACV since it is happening during cold-starts.
Sorry I don't have pictures but maybe search up "Neurologic", I remember cleaning out my IACV and following his steps to do it for the very first time.
The valve should be right under your throttle body held on by three nuts.
You'll need to soak it into Carb Cleaner for some time before all the build up comes off.
But check out "neurologic's" post about it. It's helpful with pictures.

Heres the link from "NEROLOGIC" not "Neurologic" *sorry*. And I've mistaken, the thread is not a how-to for the IACV but for the FITV.
But I suggest you search "IACV" and see what comes up...maybe there will be how-to's on that. I know when I had to take it apart, I just used the search function. Trust me, all the info is in the search.
